— Description • Nintendo Power (Volume #134) |
Stone Cutter (also called Animal Statues[1] or Rock Helpers[2]) is a Power Combo in the Kirbyseries, debuting in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
Games[]
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards[]
Stone Cutter is a Power Combo made by combining the Stone and Cutter Copy Abilities. Kirby turns into a block of stone that is then quickly chiseled away to create a statue of one of the Animal Friends. Each Animal Friend has an ability it can use by pressing A.
It is required to obtain a Crystal Shard in Stage 3 of Aqua Star.
Techniques[]
Move | Controls | Description |
---|---|---|
Stone Cutter | Kirby transforms into a block of stone and then quickly carves himself into one of the six Animal Friends at random. | |
Rick | Rick can jump up to 1.5 tiles in height. If Rick pushes against a wall in the air, he can climb a short distance each time A is pressed, allowing him to climb higher than Kirby can float. Rick can also walk on the ground. | |
Coo | Coo can jump up to 3 tiles in height and up to 1.5 tiles forward on level ground. Coo can also flap his wings to fly; only the first ten flaps allow him to ascend, with all successive flaps slowing his descent. | |
Kine | N/A | Kine can only turn around, and is otherwise unable to move, even underwater. |
Pitch | Pitch can jump up to 3 tiles in height and up to 4 tiles forward on level ground. Pitch can also flap his wings to fly, moving faster horizontally than Coo; only the first ten flaps allow him to ascend, with all successive flaps slowing his descend. Pitch can also roll when landing on the ground with horizontal velocity; he can jump out of the roll on ground, but cannot cancel the roll if rolling off a ledge. | |
ChuChu | ChuChu can jump up to 3 tiles in height and up to 1.5 tiles forward on level ground. | |
Nago | Nago can triple jump; his grounded jump ascends 1.5 tiles, while his midair jumps only go up 1 tile. Nago can also walk on the ground. | |
Explode | after Stone Cutter | Kirby's sculpture is destroyed and Kirby returns to normal, sending rocky debris around him. |
