— Cast Description • Kirby's Epic Yarn

Embaconda is an enemy in the Kirby Series debuting in Kirby's Epic Yarn. It first appears in Temper Temple and later returns in Meta Melon Isle.

Physical Appearance[]

Embaconda is made up of many small Embas. Embaconda is long and red and orange in color. It usually has beads inside of its body and has two black and red button eyes.

Games[]

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn[]

Embaconda moves around in a set pattern, and coming into contact with one will burn Kirby or Prince Fluff. It can only be defeated with the Fire Engine Transformation. Water blasts can destroy individual segments by hitting them, and destroying the head will destroy all other segments. Each segment, with the exception of the head, drops beads when destroyed.

Etymology[]

Embaconda's name is a portmanteau of "Emba" (or, alternatively, "ember"), referencing its fiery body; and "anaconda," referring to the fact that it is a sort of snake.

Its Japanese name, ヒノコンダ (Hinokonda), is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for ember/spark, ひのこ/火の粉 (Hinoko); and anaconda, アナコンダ (anakonda).

Trivia[]

  • According to the Japanese official guidebook, Amprey is the deep-sea version of Embaconda.
