Pufferzine is an ingredient found in potato chips ordered from Nightmare Enterprises. If eaten, it will cause the consumer's body to swell up like a balloon, though it also seems to make food taste great, similarly to the Gijira Extract.
King Dedede and Escargoon ordered the chips to make Kirby too big to inhale monsters in the episode Fitness Fiend. It wasn't only Kirby who ate the Pufferzine; King Dedede did as well, but both had the substance removed from their bodies when Max Flexer was whipping them into shape.
Pufferzine was also later used as an ingredient found in Fryclops' food that he fed the Waddle Dees with in the episode Hunger Struck.
