Helmee is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack.

Physical Appearance[]

Helmee is a floating knight's helmet with short, stubby arms. The helmet is adorned with a purple feather. It has an invisible body, as it is a ghost. The enemy is usually seen brandishing a spear, but one carries a lantern instead.

Games[]

Kirby Mass Attack[]

Helmee appears exclusively in the haunted and dark areas of Volcano Valley. Helmee float in midair, trying to guard the entrance to Skull Tower. When the enemy spots the Kirbys, it hovers over them, aims its spear downward, and darts to the ground in an attempt to stab the heroes. It takes a few Kirbys to defeat. Helmee revives itself later, however, so the Kirbys should escape before this happens. Helmee can only be permanently defeated using Invincible Candy or Jumbo Candy, or by being crushed by a heavy object, such as a morning glory's pot.

Although most Helmees are hostile, a harmless Helmee with a lantern appears in Stage 6 of Volcano Valley. It lights candles and gets its lantern stolen by a Gloomybat. After the Kirbys retrieve the lantern, Helmee lights several torches for the Kirbys to use before leaving.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[]

Helmee appears as a collectible keychain in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.

Etymology[]

Helmee is likely derived from "helmet," a piece of armor that protects the wearer's head, which Helmee is almost entirely consisted of.
