There are so many cactus creatures in the desert. But it's hard to miss Crazy Stactus. He's the one who sways to the music. When the music stops, that's the time to launch your attack on his petal head!
— Daroach • Kirby Mass Attack

Crazy Stactus is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack. He is a variant of Stactus.

Physical Appearance[]

Crazy Stactus is a tall cactus with a flower on his head. He has two stubby arms and its body is covered in spines. His face looks just like that of a normal Stactus.

Games[]

Kirby Mass Attack[]

Crazy Stactus inhabits Sandy Canyon, first appearing in Stage 2. He loves to dance by shaking back and forth. He occasionally stops shaking, at which point the Kirbys should grab the flower in bloom on his head. If they touch Crazy Stactus while he is dancing, they will be flung about. If they touch Crazy Stactus' spikes, they take damage. A new variant, the yellow Crazy Stactus, appears in Stage 4 of Sandy Canyon; the yellow Crazy Stactus slowly slides across the ground in addition to dancing like a regular Crazy Stactus.

Etymology[]

Crazy Stactus' Japanese name, サテボン (Satebon), is an anagram of the Japanese word for cactus, サボテン (Saboten).

Trivia[]

  • The music to Stage 2 of Sandy Canyon does not start until the Kirbys defeat the first Crazy Stactus.
  • If the Kirbys touch Crazy Stactus when under the effects of Invincible Candy, the enemy explodes into pieces.
