Gigatzo is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. As a variant of Shotzo, it is invincible and cannot be inhaled.

Physical Appearance[]

In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Gigatzo is a large, bottle-shaped cannon sporting a black and gray color scheme. It sits atop a red-pink stand; the rim around the front of the barrel is this color as well.

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Gigatzo's design is altered slightly. The cannon is now a metallic gray and is considerably more bulbous in shape. The inside of the barrel has ridges.

Games[]

Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]

Gigatzos make their first appearance in Raisin Ruins. Gigatzo shoots giant fireballs at Kirby. These projectiles cannot be defeated or inhaled and must simply be avoided. Many Gigatzos appear in the background of stages, firing fireballs into the air to have them rain down on the hero. Gigatzo appears in the Wing Challenge.

In Magolor Epilogue: The Interdimensional Traveler in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, a smaller variant of Gigatzo can be found in various stages, however the size of the fireball remains the same.

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition[]

Gigatzo appears in the New Challenge Stages, reprising its role from the previous installment. It appears in the Normal Challenge.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Kirby: Planet Robobot[]

Gigatzo often is stationed on platforms in the backgrounds of certain stages. It behaves like it usually does, firing fireballs straight ahead of it at Kirby.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land[]

Gigatzo reprises its roles from previous games, most prominently appearing in various Mouthful Mode sections.

Etymology[]

Gigatzo's name is a portmanteau of "Shotzo," referencing its relationship as being of that enemy type, and "giga," referring to its size in comparison to normal Shotzos.
