Moai Block is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. They cannot be inhaled.

Physical Appearance[]

Moai Block is a cube made completely out of stone. It has two empty eyeholes, a nose, and a mouth carved into its face. It has a stripe and a flashing star pattern on its side. Moai Blocks come in two colors: beige and red. Some Moai Blocks are supported by small pillars; others by star-patterned blocks.

Moai Block bears a strong resemblance to Kabu and Thudd.

Games[]

Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]

Moai Blocks appear in Stages 2 and 4 of Raisin Ruins. Beige Moai Blocks cannot attack Kirby and merely act as obstacles. Red Moai Blocks periodically spit jets of flame.

Moai Blocks are immune to all normal Copy Abilities, but can be destroyed by Super Abilities; Flare Beam is used in Stage 2 and Ultra Sword is used in Stage 4. These abilities can destroy Moai Blocks instantly. In Stage 2, the Moai Block facing the wrong way toward the end of the stage hides a dimensional rift.

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, a stone head that bears a strong resemblance to Moai Block appears as a background detail in one stage of Wild World.
