The Gigant Chicks[1] are a trio of large enemies in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Physical Appearance[]
Gigant Chicks are giant, spherical chicks. Each has a short beak, two feet, a large tail, and an enormous wingspan. Their eyes are yellow with oval pupils. The birds come in three colors: green, turquoise, and purple. Each Gigant Chick wears a different style and color of bow tie.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[]
The Gigant Chicks appear in Stage 1 of Old Odyssey and Stage 8 of Royal Road. When Kirby finds them, they screech in rage and attack him one at a time. Using the Hypernova ability, the pink puff can yank gargantuan Mandola Roots out of the ground, launching them into the air; one hit from a flying Mandola Root will defeat the bird struck.
The green Gigant Chick attacks first. It hovers in the top-right corner of the screen, regularly spitting Air Bullets at the hero. The bird cannot hit him if he runs to the right side of the screen. When hit by a Mandola Root, the chick's feathers will fly off, and it will plummet off the stage into a pit.
The turquoise Gigant Chick attacks second. It flies back and forth between the top-left and top-right corners. It quickly spits two Air Bullets at Kirby before swooping across the screen again. Like the green chick, the blue chick will lose its feathers and plummet when hit by a Mandola Root.
The purple Gigant Chick attacks last. Rather than swooping across the screen to switch sides, it circles the area, occasionally spitting three consecutive Air Bullets or a trio of Air Bullets at once. Like the previous two birds, it will lose its feathers when struck by a Mandola Root. Unlike the others, however, the purple chick will hit the screen and slide down it to its doom.
Trivia[]
- The Gigant Chicks are one of the only enemies in the Kirby series that can use the Air Gun technique.
- Of all the enemies that are defeated exclusively with the Hypernova ability, the Gigant Chicks are one of the five that are treated like mid-bosses. The others are the Mowlee Bros., Waddle Dee Steel Fortress, King Phanta, and the Winged Eggers.
