Deepsee is a mid-boss in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. It is the mature form of Mini Deepsee.
Physical Appearance[]
Deepsee is a big sea anemone. It is green and has two wavy yellow bands around his body. Ten scraggly pink tentacles, some of which hold yellow rings, surround its mouth. The anemone sits atop two spiky platforms and is carried by a blue crustacean. The crustacean has claws, four legs, and a wide mouth.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[]
Deepsee appears in the penultimate room of the stage Kirby Submarine's Torpedo Time. It scuttles across the ceiling and walls, occasionally aiming at Kirby and firing torpedoes. It can also summon green Blippers to attack. Kirby can damage the mid-boss by shooting his own torpedoes or super torpedoes at it. At low health, Deepsee will scuttle much faster, fire more torpedoes, and summon Blippers more often than usual.
Etymology[]
Deepsee's name is derived from deep sea, referencing the creature's habitat.
Trivia[]
- Deepsee is one of the only mid-bosses to have no visible eyes; the other three are Master Hand, Gigant Edge, and Kibble Blade.
- Deepsee may be based off how hermit crabs and sea anemones have a symbiotic relationship with one another.
