Boboois a mid-boss in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It gives the Burning ability when inhaled.

Physical Appearence[]

Boboo is a walking flame with black, beady eyes and blueish feet, but whenever it is defeated or bumps into a wall, it reveals that it is actually a giant piece of crimson coal.

Games[]

Kirby's Dream Land 3[]

Boboo appears as the Burning mid-boss and as an otherwise stronger version of the Bobo enemy. It appears in Stage 4 of Grass Land, to which the player fights it if taking the path that requires destroying the Stone Ability Blocks; defeating Boboo is required in order to retrieve Goku and bring him back to Chao. Boboo only attacks by running and then lunging into the wall. After rebounding from the wall, a flame projectile will drop behind him, and it'll be momentarily stunned. Boboo also appears in Stage 6 of Iceberg, along with every other mid-boss in the game. Defeating it allows the player to obtain Burning and destroy the Burning Ability Blocks in the next room, allowing the player to retrieve one of Angel's feathers.

Etymology[]

Boboo's name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia for fire crackling, ボーボー/ぼうぼう (Bōbō).
