Draw the picture in the same order as Paint Roller before Kirby rolls all the way to the right edge or before the Bomber catches him.
— Paint Panic • Kirby: Canvas Curse Instruction Booklet

Paint Panic is a sub-game in Kirby: Canvas Curse.

General Information[]

In each "question", Paint Roller paints the outline of a picture of a recurring item, enemy, or ally in the Kirby series that the player must redraw using the Touch Screen in a connect-the-dots fashion. The Top Screen will display the speed at which each picture is completed, which impacts the speed at which Kirby goes to the next screen. These include "Slow," when Kirby will go at "Walking" speed; "Average," when Kirby will go at "Running" speed; "Fast," when Kirby will "Dash!"; and "Super Fast," when Kirby will go at "Burning!!" speed. During the battle, Kirby is pursued by Bombers, so the player will have to hurry and complete the picture before a Bomber comes to blow Kirby up. In the last room, the player has to tap the blinking panels to blow up Paint Roller and his Bombers.

Like the other sub-games, it has three difficulties, each of which indicates how many rounds the game will entail. On level one, the player is forced to endure ten rounds. At level two, it becomes fifteen, and level three goes on for one hundred rounds.

Level 1[]

When fighting Paint Roller as a boss for the first time, the ten drawings the player must draw are always the same, and always in the same order:

  1. Platform
  2. Hard Block
  3. Door
  4. Stake
  5. Candy
  6. Maxim Tomato
  7. Vitality
  8. Spikes
  9. Mr. Shine
  10. Parasol

When the player gets to the blinking panels, the first five combinations require tapping one panel, the sixth and seventh require two panels, the eight and ninth require three panels, and the tenth requires four.

When playing Level 1 as a subgame, the ten drawings are randomized; the tenth drawing always consists of two parts.

Level 2[]

When fighting Paint Roller as a boss for the second time, the fifteen drawings the player must draw are always the same, and always in the same order:

  1. Hard Block
  2. Door
  3. Soarar
  4. Stake
  5. Energy Drink
  6. Pacto
  7. Maxim Tomato
  8. Vitality
  9. Spikes
  10. Fake Top Speed Patch
  11. Parasol
  12. Big Star
  13. Twizzy
  14. Scarfy
  15. Mr. Frosty (two parts)

When the player gets to the blinking panels, the first four combinations require tapping one panel, the fifth and sixth require two panels, the seventh and eighth require three panels, the ninth requires four panels, and the tenth requires five.

When playing Level 2 as a subgame, the fifteen drawings are randomized; after the tenth drawing, there is a chance a drawing will have two parts, with at least one occurring.
