Ghost Grounds is a stage in Kirby: Canvas Curse. It is Arange Gorge's first stage. It is the fourth stage in the game, coming after Ravine Road and before Growth Grasses. The music that plays here is a remix of the music that plays in stages 2–5, 3-3, and 5-5 in Kirby's Dream Land 3.

General Information

Ghost Grounds is a spooky, ghost-filled town (and a seaside graveyard beside it) that appeared when Drawcia turned Dream Land into a world of paint. It was one of the few known settlements in Pop Star, but Drawcia was defeated and the planet was reverted to its old self, thus erasing it from existence. Kirby must get past bubbles and be blown around by cannons if he wants to make it out of this frightful place. He must also master his Spark ability if he wants the medals hidden here. The medals are relatively easy to find, but some are not in plain sight or require the Spark ability to reach them.

The first area of this stage requires Kirby to navigate east with air cannons helping him along the way. Bobos that give the Burning ability appear in the first area of this stage, which makes navigating the area a lot easier. There is a medal at the end of the first area protected by blocks that can easily be broken with the Burning ability. The second area of the stage is a maze of sorts. When Kirby comes to a vertical fork, he can take the launcher to advance to the next part of the maze, or he can go down and get the Spark ability, which allows him to get a lot of stars in the current area, and a medal in the next. At the end of the second area, Kirby can reveal a detour by breaking blocks with his Spark ability or continue on normally. The detour is the only way to get the otherwise inaccessible medal. In the final part of the level, Kirby must travel through a spike maze where there are spikes inconveniently placed almost everywhere. There are also traps that are seemingly shortcuts that lead nowhere. Near the end of the level, Kirby will be attacked by Bronto Burts. He must defeat or avoid them to clear the level.

It is comparable to Dreamy Darkness.

Ripple Field is the third level in Kirby's Dream Land 2, and second in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It is the home of Kine the sunfish, one of Kirby's Animal Friends. Ripple Field's musical theme in Kirby's Dream Land 2 is the theme of Float Islands from Kirby's Dream Land. In Kirby's Dream Land 3, Float Islands' theme was dropped, and Ripple Field had three separate new themes associated with it.

When played with the Old School music option on, Ghost Grounds' theme changes to Cabbage Cavern's theme from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror.
