It's hard to miss the plant called the Glutbulb. It's a big water-filled bulb that flickers with electricity when it's underwater. So hopefully there's some way to make it less wet.

Glutbulb is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack.

Physical Appearance

Glutbulb is a large flower. It is primarily a water-filled bulb with two green leaves at its base and purple petals it its top. The bulb also contains an item, specifically a melon or a medal.

Games

Kirby Mass Attack

Glutbulb appears exclusively in Stage 7 of Dedede Resort. It attacks by shooting two electric orbs diagonally, which electrocute the Kirbys if they make contact. The enemy cannot be defeated when submerged; the player must rapidly flick the Kirbys at Glutbulb's body when the water level recedes, which causes the creature to spew its water out through its flower. If the water rises and submerges the enemy, it refills, putting the player back at square one. Upon defeat, Glutbulb disintegrates and releases the item suspended in its body.

Only two Glutbulbs appear in the game.

Etymology

Glutbulb's name is a combination of glut, meaning "to fill," and lightbulb.

Related Quotes

In the sunken ship dwell bloated bubble creatures that guard a treasure. They're formidable foes, but they're less dangerous when not submerged. So attack them once they're out of the water.
