|This article is about the second player in Kirby's Dream Course. For the Kirby of the same color, see Yellow Kirby.|
In Kirby's Dream Course, the second player plays as Keeby in multiplayer games, and he has identical abilities to Kirby. As he is not seen outside of Kirby's Dream Course's multiplayer mode, he is a somewhat obscure character in the Kirby series. Though not Keeby exactly, his yellow and orange color scheme is used as an alternate coloration for Kirby in Super Smash Bros.. Furthermore, Yellow Kirby, a Kirby that looks very similar to Keeby, has appeared in Kirby series main games, sub-games, and spin-offs. Though they share the same color palette, they are not confirmed to be the same character.
In Japan, Keeby's name is spelled "Kībī" (キービィ). It is a portmanteau of the word for yellow (黄色 kiiro) and Kirby's name (カービィ Kābī).
- Keeby's coloration may be a reference to the fact that Shigeru Miyamoto initially wished for Kirby to be yellow, although HAL Laboratory eventually settled on Masahiro Sakurai's preference of pink.
- Despite having orange feet in artwork, his in-game sprites have dark yellow feet.
