Full Name Keke
Debut Kirby's Dream Land 3
Ability Clean
Category Regular Enemy

Keke is a spooky little witch that soars through the air with her magical broom. She first appeared as a Regular Enemy in Kirby's Dream Land 3 for the SNES. Here, she, along with Broom Hatter, gave the Clean ability when swallowed. A few years later, Keke returned to the series as a background character in Kirby 64. Keke has scraggly gray hair, small cat-like ears, a flowing black robe, and rides on a magical broom.

[edit] Kirby's Dream Land 3

Keke the witch flies through the sky and often heads straight for Kirby once she lays eyes on him. She appears rather infrequently compared to her weaker, ground counterpart, Broom Hatter. If Kirby inhales this wicked witch and her little broom too, he gains the rare Clean ability. She appears primary in areas like Cloudy Park.

When Keke is defeated, her broom explodes (or goes into Kirby's mouth if he inhales her) and she rolls off-screen. A similar action is done by Ado and Adeleine when they are defeated.

[edit] Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Keke is only a background character in this game. She can not attack Kirby nor can she be damaged. She appears in areas such as the rundown Ripple Star and the ruins around Rock Star and flies around on her broom in the background without minding Kirby.

Despite not having much of a role in the game, Keke is still acknowledged as Enemy card #72

[edit] Etymology

Keke's name and design appears to come from the animated film Kiki's Delivery Service. Not only does Keke share a similar name to the film's protagonist, but she also wears a similar black robe to the one Kiki wears and a similar hair style. Keke's ears also bear a striking resemblance to Kiki's bow.
