Try to roll all of the Kirbys into the holes. This one is tricky, so you'll have to tilt very carefully!
— Instruction manual description • Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble

Kirby's Roll-o-Rama is a sub-game from Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble.

Game[]

In the first round of this game, the player starts with two Kirbys. The goal is to get all the Kirbys to fall into the holes before the time runs out. This can be achieved by tilting the Game Boy to steer them into the holes, just like the gameplay of the main game. Unlike the main game, this sub-game's physics require the player to be much more precise with his/her tilts.

There are three types of holes: large holes, small holes, and convex holes. Large holes require less precision to catch a Kirby and small holes that require great precision. Convex holes require great precision to catch a Kirby and do not hold them well; so too much tilting can dislodge a Kirby from the convex hole, thus requiring the player to put him back in. As such, the player may get the best results by entering Kirbys into large holes first, small holes next, and convex holes last.

Every stage has a different number of Kirbys, different holes, different layouts, and different time limits. Bumpers appear in some stages to obstruct the player. Starting in stage 14, Gordos appear; if the Kirbys hit two Gordos or the time runs out, the game ends. Additionally, the timer will not add more seconds after clearing enough rounds, ending the game faster.

Like all the sub-games in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, Kirby's Roll-o-Rama can only be played if Kirby obtains the Bonus Star and clears the stage in which he found it. It becomes available to play anytime if Kirby collects every Red Star in Extra Mode.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Roll-o-Rama" was later given to the Kirby-less version of the canceled Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble 2.
  • The title screen for this sub-game shows four pink Kirbys and one blue one. Coincidentally, the Kirbys in Kirby Mass Attack also appear in these two colors.
