Since it's tethered to Kirby and arcs over him in a devastating sweep, the electro-charged boulder has incredible range.

Stone Spark (also called Lightning Boulder[1] or Electric Rock[2]) is a Power Combo in the Kirbyseries, debuting in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

Games[]

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards[]

Stone Spark is a Power Combo made by combining the Stone and Spark Copy Abilities. Kirby spits out a boulder connected to his body with an electrical tether; the rock travels straight before floating upward and curving back toward Kirby. He can still move while he is using it, but cannot float. The rock can bounce off solid surfaces while the electric tether can go through them.

Techniques[]

Stone Spark B Kirby spits out a giant boulder that's connected to him with an electric tether. After traveling roughly 3/4 of a screen, the boulder floats upward before curving back and down toward Kirby. The boulder can bounce on solid surfaces while the tether can go through them. The tether can only be so long and will try to pull back the boulder before it gets too long, so if Kirby gets too far from the boulder, the tether will break and the boulder will explode; the boulder will also explode if it makes contact with Kirby. Zap
Explode B during Stone Spark The electrically charged tether breaks and the boulder explodes. None

Trivia[]

  • In earlier versions of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Stone Spark was originally going to have Kirby transform into a computer chip, which would still allow Kirby to crush enemies underneath him.[3]
  • A somewhat similar technique can be performed in Kirby Star Allies: the Friend Ability called Geokinesis allows the player to move a stone around while it is surrounded in electricity.
