Lollipop Tank[1] is a vehicle in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.

Physical Appearance

The Lollipop Tank is a large tank with the appearance of a candy dispenser containing colorful balls. It has a cannon on the front with a red, yellow, and white lollipop aesthetic. The tank is mounted on a blue base with treads and wheels with star patterns. The top and bottom stripes of the dispenser are also adorned with star decorations. A Waddle Dee sits on top of the tank, piloting it.

A variant of the Lollipop Tank appears in Royal Road. This version appears closer to a conventional tank, with a more muted color scheme, a broader, boxy frame, and a large exhaust pipe on either side that vents large amounts of smog when it moves. It fires spiky metal spheres as ammunition, sometimes three or five in succession. It is piloted by a pair of Sectra Dees, visible through the round portholes on either side of the cannon.

Games

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

The Lollipop Tank appears in the second and fifth sections of Stage 1 of Lollipop Land, as well as Stage 6. It follows Kirby on a background plane and tries to shoot candy cannonballs at him. It can be defeated if Kirby breaks a Bomb Block that will destroy some other blocks, opening a pit that the tank can plummet into. If it is not destroyed in the first hole, the tank will destroy Durable Blocks upon which a Treasure Chest containing a Sun Stone rests. This makes the Sun Stone unobtainable.

The Lollipop Tank's Royal Road variant appears exclusively in Stages 1 and 3 of Royal Road. Kirby can hide behind walls to dodge the tank's attacks and dispose of the vehicle using the previous method. In Stage 3, Hypernova Kirby reveals the Lollipop Tank after inhaling a large curtain in the foreground. This also creates a 3D Warp Star Kirby can use to take into the background, where he can turn his Hypernova Inhale on the tank. After inhaling its ammunition, its cannon, its hull, its pilots, and its frame, the Lollipop Tank is finally destroyed as Kirby spits out the Goal Gate.
