The foes wrapped up in bandages are called Mummbons. And the big ones? They're known as Big Mummbons. Big or small, though, they seem like a real menace.

Mummbon is a regular enemy in Kirby Mass Attack. They play the role of the weakest enemy in the desert-themed second world in the game, and replace Beanbon from the first world. Besides appearance, the only difference between the two is that Mummbon is extremely difficult to permanently defeat, and revives itself shortly after being unraveled (defeating the Mummbon subsequent times produces no fruit). Mummbons also shoot a poisonous liquid that can encapsulate a Kirby on contact; Beanbons shoot explosive coconuts. The only ways to permanently defeat a Mummbon is to hit a blast block, an object that defeats all enemies on the screen, crush them under an object or between two objects, or allow the lava in Stage 5 of Volcano Valley to rise and burn them. Big Mummbons can also be destroyed by these tactics.

Appearance

Mummbon has a similar appearance to Beanbon, but its body is entirely wrapped in white bandages, giving it the appearance of a mummified Beanbon. It has two wrapped-up leaves above its head and two blue feet, and its body is slightly more rounded than Beanbon's.

Etymology

Its name is a combination of mummy and Beanbon.
