The foes wrapped up in bandages are called Mummbons. And the big ones? They're known as Big Mummbons. Big or small, though, they seem like a real menace.

Mummbon is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Mass Attack. It is a variant of Beanbon.

Physical Appearance

Mummbon has a similar appearance to Beanbon, but its body is entirely wrapped in white bandages, giving it the appearance of a mummified Beanbon. It has two wrapped-up leaves above its head and two blue feet, and its body is slightly more rounded than Beanbon's.

Games

Kirby Mass Attack

Mummbon holds the distinction of being the weakest enemy in Sandy Canyon, though it also appears in Stage 7 of Dedede Resort and Stage 6 of Volcano Valley. After walking a few steps, Mummbon shoots a glob of purple poison at the Kirbys. If a Kirby is hit by the gunk and the player does not tap him rapidly, he takes damage. A large variant also exists.

Mummbon revives itself shortly after it is defeated. The only things that can permanently destroy this enemy are Invincible Candy, the blast from a Blast Block, lava, and being crushed under an object or between two objects.

Etymology

Mummbon's name is a portmanteau of mummy and Beanbon.
