Pluid is an enemy that appears only in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. A blob of water with two red eyes, this enemy is similar to Drop from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards in both appearance and behavior. It hangs around on the ceiling, usually with others of its kind nearby, and drops to the floor when Kirby or one of his teammates approach. Despite its appearances, it does not appear underwater. When on the ground, Pluid will simply hop around. It grants Kirby the Water ability when swallowed.

• Some footage of Kirby GCN show that Pluids were going to first appear there.
• Pluids behave similarly to the Dropsos of Kirby's Epic Yarn.
• The name "Pluid" may be a combination of the words, "plop" and "fluid."
