Search is an uncommon enemy appearing in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition, and Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It has a similar appearance to a Flamer, having the same body shape. Searches are black with four red buttons and a yellow center. They have angry eyes and are sensitive to touch. If Kirby or any of his friends come near one, it will self-destruct, destroying anything in the blast radius. Searches are the only source of the Crash ability in the game, besides Mix and the Crash Copy Essences offered in The Arena and The True Arena.
Search appears in the Whip and Bomb Challenges of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It appears in the New Challenge Stages in Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition as well. It appears in the Wing Challenge.
In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Search's face is less concealed.
Trivia
- Search's appearance and behavior are extremely similar to those of Blasto* from Kirby's Block Ball. They both share a spherical body, four spherical bumps protruding off their bodies, and glaring eyes. Blastos can leave behind Crash items that cause vast explosions, and Searches too can create sizable blasts.
