Springy Hand[1] is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. In Kirby: Planet Robobot, Springy Hands take the form of music notes called Springy Notes*.

Physical Appearance

Springy Hand is a large white glove with no cuff. It is attached to springs of many colors. The springs are attached to gray springloaders. In Kirby: Planet Robobot, Springy Notes take the form of green treble clefs, red eighth notes, and blue beamed pairs of eighth notes.

Games

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

Springy Hand only appears in Stages 3 and 6 of Lollipop Land and Stage 7 of Royal Road. It is never situated on a tangible plane--this makes it impossible for Kirby to attack it.

Springy Hand acts as a background booby trap. Every few seconds, it starts to wiggle and suddenly springs into the foreground, crossing every plane in between. After this, the hand will retract back into its springloader. If Kirby is in the way when it springs forward, he will be squashed against the screen, breaking the fourth wall.

Kirby Fighters Deluxe

Six Springy Hands appear as environmental hazards in the Springy Hand Land stage.

Kirby: Planet Robobot

Springy Notes appear exclusively in Rhythm Route. They behave like Springy Hands in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Unlike Springy Hands, they can be destroyed by Robobot Armor or Meta Knight's sword if they are attacked while in the foreground.
