Similar to the Ice-Needle combo, the twin Needle combo has Kirby splaying out spikes, this time like a Swiss army knife.[1]
— Description • Nintendo Power (Volume #134)

Swiss Army Kirby[2] is a powerful combo ability appearing in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is made by mixing together two Needle abilities. With this ability, Kirby's body is surrounded by a number of pointy protrusions. These are (clockwise from top): a corkscrew, a syringe, a cactus, a fork, a bee stinger, a nail, a compass, and a pencil. Upon activation, any enemy that touches Kirby is punctured by the many spiky items. Unlike most incarnations of the Needle ability though, the transformation activated by this ability is only temporary.

In-game render

  • A pre-release screenshot of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards reveals that Kirby's cactus previously didn't exist, and that a pointy, black tuning fork originally took its spot on Kirby's body.[3]
  • Oddly, the official art for this ability is a horizontally flipped version of what it should look like.
