Torkori is a selfish bird that basically uses Kirby for protection purposes. He slightly resembles Twizzy and in some ways, Pitch the animal friend from Kirby's Dream Land 3.

In the AnimeEdit

His first appearance in the anime was the very beginning of the first episode as a cameo, sleeping. In A Blockbuster Battle, when a storm came and Kirby needed to find shelter, he accidentally took Torkori's nest. When Kirby needed a job, King Dedede told Torkori to sabotage Kirby's attempts to find work. At the end, Tiff and Tuff built a little house for Kirby. In the third episode, Tuff finds that Torkori took Kirby's house. Now he rarely lets Kirby sleep in the house or just lets him in for some rest while he watches Channel DDD.

LanguageEdit

His spoken accent in the dub is Cajun. He usually calls Kirby by several different nicknames, such as "Pinkie," "Gumball," "Junior," "Sonny," "Punk," "Goofball," and in some cases, "Buddy."

TriviaEdit

• This character's original, Japanese name, "Tokkori", is surprisingly similar to the Japanese word, "tokkuri", meaning "liquor bottle"; perhaps this correlation can be considered a reference to the bird's sour disposition (a quality commonly associated with the stereotypical "drunkard")
