Water Galboros is a mid-boss appearing only in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. When defeated, Kirby can inhale it to get the Water ability. It is a much larger version of the standard Water Galbo.

AppearanceEdit

Water Galboros is physically similar to a normal Water Galbo, albeit being three times its size and having a more prominent snout. The skin of it is also colored in a shade of cyan instead of light blue. It has angry-looking yellow eyes with red and black slits and yellow pupils in them. Its orange eyelids become noticable when it blinks. Four matching cyan spines run down its back and six horizontal orange lines are located near the bottom of the back as well (three on each side of its spines).

The EX form of Water Galboros still retains its basic shape, but has completely different colors and patterns than the original. The skin on its belly is now red and so are its spines, which now point upwards instead of facing downwards. Water Galboros EX's skin is a shade of purple instead of cyan, its eyelids are violet, and the stripes that are on its back are now redesigned to be in a zig-zag pattern and are red with the ends of the stripes turning violet.

Attacks Edit

The Water Galboros' attacks include a regular water wave like a Water Galbo's, a jump attack, and a surfing attack where it charges to the opposite side of the screen in an attempt to ram the player character. It will then be stunned for a moment, which is a good opportunity to attack it. It will also shake itself and spin in place as if in a tantrum, showering the area around it with balls of water.

In it's EX form, Water Galboros can now perform a small lunge. If a player is hit by the lunge, they will be swallowed, and the player must shake the Wii Remote to help them escape, albeit while they take moderate damage. In addition, it will jump more than once in a row and spit two blobs of water instead of only one at the start. Water Galboros will also throw a lot more bursts of water when it spins on the ground.
