Balloon-like creatures, Zebons inhale Kirby and exhale him in the direction you select. Zebons are useful for moving Kirby across long distances with little effort.

Zebon is a large, transparent, green sphere with a small, happy face on it. The face consists of two small black eyes and a smile.

In Kirby's Dream Land 3, Zebon is not a normal enemy. While he is alive and appears in levels, he causes no damage to Kirby and cannot be destroyed. His function is similar to that of the Cannon. When Kirby touches Zebon, he is sucked inside and fired out. If a predetermined direction is not set, he rolls his gaze around to fire Kirby in one of eight directions.

Zebon returns for the same purpose in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, launching Kirby out in a direction.

Zebon Cameo

Zebon's cameo in The Big Taste Test.

Zebon never made a true appearance in the anime but did a cameo appearance in episode 11.

In episode 11 of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, The Big Taste Test, King Dedede finds that a famous food critic, Chef Shiitake, is coming to Castle Dedede, he chooses Chef Kawasaki to impress the critic (since Kawasaki is the only chef in town). When King Dedede finds that all his food tastes terrible and will definitely NOT impress Chef Shiitake, Kawasaki freaks out for not knowing about this and needs help finding a special ingredient to improve his cooking.

While Kawasaki looks for an ingredient, King Dedede buys a cookbook from Nightmare Enterprises and finds it is published by Chef Shiitake. He sees an ingredient called Zebon and, noticing that the picture looks a lot like Kirby, replaced the picture with the pink puffball. Chef Kawasaki is fooled by Dedede and tries to cook Kirby in hopes of pleasing his master.

Trivia

  • While Zebon's mouth is colored pink in his official artwork and in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, his mouth in-game is black.
